Identity Theft Corporate Field Intelligence

IDCo Inc. IDENTI-FI™ is a real time web data analysis service for organizations that have experienced or may be exposed to mass data breaches. IDENTI-FI™ is an industry software suite that helps protect by scouring the Internet “Undernet” for hacked or stolen corporate data. Using IDCo's patent pending Privacy ProBot^® technology, web based data is analyzed in real time for an institution’s unique information patterns and data signatures that may indicate mass data theft or client identity theft.


	Using Privacy ProBot^® core technology, IDENTI-FI™ proactively blocks damage from stolen Personally Identifiable Information (PII) even before internal systems detect that it has been stolen: Protects individual records or mass data files Stops the damage before the data theft is detected inside the firewall Stops the loss before significant illegal usage is made Intervenes long before adverse notices appear at credit bureaus or at credit card issuers Helps to ensure compliance with current and pending legislation Helps to limit exposure to civil liability Ideal for financial, medical, employment, real estate, and other data holders

With IDENTI-FI™ organizations can protect their good names, their clients, and meet or exceed regulatory compliance. When internal defenses fail to prevent or detect a theft of PII there has thus far been no immediate next line of protection. Remediation couldn’t start until the damage had accumulated enough to be reported (i.e. by credit bureaus, credit card issuers, etc.). Only then could the continuing damage be blocked. That was the Old Stop Loss Point. This multi-billion dollar “stop-loss gap” (think TJX) is closed by this patent pending technology.


	Description of the Problem It Solves: There is no doubt that the problem of PII theft and identity theft is enormous and growing There is also not doubt that raising the firewalls ever higher is not a complete solution Placing ever more theft detection systems inside those firewall is also not the whole solution and never will be It is clear that ever more onerous legislative provisions for the protection of PII are in the pipeline and new solutions need to be found Inevitably class action trolls are going to make PII loss ever more financially painful Coping with and compensating data loss victims is an enormous expense Every incident of mass data loss and resulting damage from its use by criminals further erodes the public trust

All of the above are among the incentives for the holders of masses of PII (banks, insurance companies, retailers, hospitals, etc,) to ensure that they take all reasonable steps to protect their customers from losses from stolen PII. This technology provides a reasonable step that will be amongst those that must be taken to limit liability

The Technology

This solution uses our unique patent pending Privacy ProBot^® core technology (claiming a 2000 priority date) combining proprietary natural language processing with interactive AI capabilities linked to its own proprietary knowledge bases. This allows it to find and then compare misused data in the pubic space with the client’s data patterns (using non-sensitive data elements in an encrypted database) and intervene to prevent financial loss.
