Our Technology
Introduction

IDCo Inc. is an innovative company with a unique proactive approach to preventing identity theft. Our patent pending Privacy ProBot® technology encodes your personal information and then searches for it in hundreds-of-thousands of public and private electronic data sources— including those slippery, underground websites where personal information is bought and sold by criminals. If your information is found in a suspicious place, the IDCo system pulls the suspect information behind its firewall, reviews it, instantly notifies you of a problem, and immediately provides automatic recovery options. IDCo technology is the only truly proactive identity theft prevention, protection, and remediation service available.

Privacy ProBot®

IDCo has a unique technology that is able to search the Internet 24/7 for information about you that may indicate identity theft or other privacy invasion. The Privacy ProBot® is able to find and track the Internet "underground" and find the "bad guys" before more harm is done. It is the only true identity theft prevention tool on the market. We also provide subscribers with their credit reports and scores and other public data information, and provide remediation options if a problem occurs. Privacy ProBot®  is Different

Extensive market research has shown that there are no other products offering the services IDCo is offering. Most of the other identity theft products on the market are either credit checking or monitoring services, educational services, or services that assist with identity restoration after theft. The IDCo patent pending invention allows a user to know what personally identifiable information is available about them from a growing number of public, commercial (subscription), and nefarious sources. No other product on the market has an automated system able to find, track, and follow the nefarious internet underground, where stolen information is bought and sold. The system further assists with the appropriate response or third party action required when the information circulated is inaccurate or otherwise damaging.

The "Bot" scans all available public and private databases, such as credit records, medical records, criminal records, domain name registrations, internet newsgroup discussions, and known (and newly found) repositories of unlawfully collected personal data while constantly updating databases and aggressively finding nefarious sites that change locations regularly. Other products are advancing; some products now claim they are able to scan several hundred publicly available data sources. IDCo technology searches hundred-of-thousands of data sources and millions of pieces of data, with that number growing. Privacy ProBot® continuously finds and scans new information sources as they become available, 24/7.

When the "Bot" finds data pertinent to a subscriber, the subscriber is notified and is advised to visit their personal secure IDCo web page. The pertinent data is then described and the subscriber is given several possible courses of action to rectify the privacy violation, including personal assistance for some IDCo products.

Privacy ProBot® Features
Protect Credit Cards and Credit Reports

The IDCo PrivacyProBot® scans the Internet continuously looking for credit card and bank account numbers. The Bot may find thieves discussing, selling, or trading this information.  More importantly, the Bot will find proof of illegal transactions, and notify subscribers to cancel accounts or take other action. The Bot also continuously searches the Internet for any phony or suspicious credit inquiries on a subscriber's credit report.  It will show any credit card accounts that are overdue and notify the user of all accounts established in a subscriber's name, allowing for the monitoring of illegally established accounts.

Find Hidden Information and Who is Looking

The Bot is able to search for subscribers based on the criteria (subscriber information) collected; it can be adapted based on individual needs.  The Bot looks for private information, finds it, tells a subscriber what/where it is, and recommends a course of action.  It is also protection for medical information, court documents, information about children and family, a job, home, company, and anything else personal or private that can be learned from clues such as a name, address, Social Security Number, EIN, user name and password, and other information transmitted or stored electronically.

Prevent Online Profiling

"Online profiling" is a technique used by marketing and advertising people that involves marking and tracking where people travel on the Internet. The markers, called "cookies," are small data files that are automatically deposited on a computer hard drive after visiting a Web site. Computers are assigned an identification number, and then the deposited cookie remains on the computer and records and transmits information. With that information, profilers can cater to tastes and buying habits and solicit with targeted advertising on Web sites, or directly through email, known as "junk mail." IDCo privacy protection services prevent online profiling by giving subscribers the power to manage cookies and decide what information companies may collect. Additionally, we provide the technology to automatically "opt out" of (have personal information removed from) hundreds of mailing and marketing databases.

Protect Social Security Number or EIN
Social Security Numbers were originally created to record Social Security contributions and benefits, and for tax payment/collection. These days your Social Security Number is too often used as an all-purpose identification number. Employer Identification Numbers are similar to a SSN, but used for a business.  An SSN or EIN is virtual key to financial and employment-related information, as well as to other sensitive data such as addresses, shopping preferences, household income, medical history, use of prescription drugs, and private business information. A stolen SSN or EIN allows a thief to assume an identity and wreak havoc a life and/or business.  It happens all the time and is the most serious kind of identity theft.  It can destroy a life or business. There are many ways to get a SSN or EIN; not just through the Internet.  The difference with our services is that Privacy ProBot® can locate an SSN or EIN anywhere it appears on World Wide Web, including places it should not be.  Privacy ProBot will also guide the subscriber as to what action to take to have a SSN or EIN removed from where it is not suppose to be, before it is used for destructive purposes.
Protect Personal Information From Sale and Distribution

All IDCo services prevent the collection and spread of personal or private information to marketers, employers, insurance providers, cyber thieves, and others who have no business accessing personal or private data. The difference with our service is that we are able to find potentially damaging information from many sources, not merely set up a wall that is easy to break through.  While we have many features that protect information from being captured and circulated, we also find where it is hidden and help victims take action.  That is our Privacy ProBot® patent pending technology, which makes us totally unique, and uniquely powerful.

Automated "Opt Out" of Junk Mail and Telemarketing

Privacy ProBot® will automatically assist you to “opt out” of direct marketing databases that can lead to privacy invasions or worse, and you will stop receiving telemarketing calls and so much junk mail.  This is a primary feature of some other identity theft services, the heart of their identity theft protection.  We include it as a small added feature.  Why?   Because we can.  “Opting out” of direct marketing is not rocket science, you could do it yourself.  We just we do it faster, keep track of new locations, and make sure your data is renewed if any of the direct marketing lists have an expiration date.

Automated Recovery

When information is found subscribers are notified via e-mail (or other means determined by the subscriber) and advised to visit a personal secure IDCo Web page.  The information is then described and we provide several possible courses of action to rectify the privacy violation, including automated responses initiated by us.
