What is Privacy ProBot®?
Identity Cops® has a unique technology that is able to search the Internet 24/7 for information about you that may indicate identity theft or other privacy invasion. The Privacy ProBot® is able to find and track the Internet "underground" and find the "bad guys" before more harm is done. It is the only true identity theft prevention tool on the market. We also provide subscribers with their credit reports and scores and other public data information, and provide remediation options if a problem occurs. How are you different from what else is out there?
Extensive market research has shown that there are no other products offering the services Identity Cops® is offering. Most of the other identity theft products on the market are either credit checking or monitoring services, educational services, or services that assist with identity restoration after theft. The Identity Cops® patent pending invention allows a user to know what personally identifiable information is available about them from a growing number of public, commercial (subscription), and nefarious sources. No other product on the market has an automated system able to find, track, and follow the nefarious internet underground, where stolen information is bought and sold. The system further assists with the appropriate response or third party action required when the information circulated is inaccurate or otherwise damaging.
The "Bot" scans all available public and private databases, such as credit records, medical records, criminal records, domain name registrations, internet newsgroup discussions, and known (and newly found) repositories of unlawfully collected personal data while constantly updating databases and aggressively finding nefarious sites that change locations regularly. Other products are advancing; some products now claim they are able to scan several hundred publicly available data sources. Identity Cops technology searches nearly four-hundred thousand (400,000) data sources, with that number growing. Privacy ProBot® continuously finds and scans new information sources as they become available, 24/7.
When the "Bot" finds data pertinent to a subscriber, the subscriber is notified and is advised to visit their personal secure Identity Cops web page. The pertinent data is then described and the subscriber is given several possible courses of action to rectify the privacy violation, including personal assistance for some ID Cops products.

After I sign up, when does my subscription start?
Unlike most on-line services we authenticate all subscribers to "assure they are who they say they are." We work diligently to prevent people from using our service for illicit purposes, which we consider more important than speed - although we work as fast as we can. There are several steps to the sign up process; expect the full process to take up to five "work" days. You will receive emails along the way. |

How do I access my account?
To access your account 24 hours a day go to our Home Page at www.idcops.com and click on "LOGIN" at the top
right hand corner of the page and use the user name and password sent to you by email. If you have lost your user name or password, email us at info@idcops.com. If you never received your user name and password the email may have been captured by your spam blocker. Let us know and we will resend. Please make us a "trusted site" with your email software. |

I haven't been receiving emails, why?

Can children sign up for Identity Cops service?
At this time only adults 18 years of age and older can sign up for a subscription. Identity Cops Inc. strongly adheres to "COPPA" (the Federal Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998, 15 U.S.C. §§ 6501-6506). If you would like to discuss an account for a child please contact us. |

Is there a contract?
No. The subscription is month-to-month beginning on the day you subscribe. There is no long term contract. We do automatically bill your credit card each month, but if you would like to suspend service just let us know by email of phone. You can cancel at any time, but we do not refund for partial months if you cancel mid-month. |

If I cancel, or my credit card is denied, do I have to pay the set-up fee again to restore service?
Yes, generally. But if you provide a new credit card or re-subscribe before the month you have paid for runs out, there will be no additional set-up fee.
